Canal das Barcas is a boulder-bottom right-hand point break near Vila Nova de Milfontes. The wave is generally long and relatively fat, with occasional tubes, and rides commonly run 50-150 metres, extending much farther on good days. It becomes hollower at low tide and fatter at high tide, while remaining rideable through all tide stages.
