Diners Beach.

Diners Beach is the last road-accessible spot on the eastern Mahia Peninsula, a remote beachbreak fully exposed to both swell and wind. The isolation is the defining feature: powerful triangular peaks materialise at the north end of the beach in any NE to S swell, and on most days you will be the only surfer in the water. The wave handles 1 to 2.4m, reflecting the total exposure to open-ocean swell from multiple directions. NW winds are offshore, though the exposed nature means clean conditions are less common than at the more sheltered spots around the peninsula. All tidal stages work with incoming producing the cleanest shape. The main limitations are remoteness and rips - the strong currents and distance from help make this a poor choice for genuine beginners despite the Stormrider classification. The beachbreak character varies widely depending on sand state, but when the banks are stacked and a solid SE swell arrives with light winds, Diners Beach can produce sessions of genuinely high quality.
