Busung Bay Bombie.

Busung Bay Bombie is a submerged reef peak sitting roughly 800m offshore from the Busung coastline on Simeulue's south side. The narrow dead coral shelf focuses S to SW swells into A-frame peaks that offer both lefts and rights. On smaller swells in the 1-2m range, the wave produces friendly, workable walls with open faces for carving. When solid SW groundswell arrives, the reef transforms, delivering steep drops into bowling barrel sections with real consequence. The takeoff zone is tight and the wave can shift from playful to vertical without much warning. Simeulue's remote location and the offshore nature of the break mean crowds are virtually non-existent, limited to charter boats and the occasional local crew running out from Busung harbour. A boat is the most practical way to access and session the bombie, both for scouting conditions and for safety on the long water crossing. Currents run through the lineup, especially on incoming tide, and the dead coral bottom adds a sharp penalty for any misjudged wipeout. The wave rewards patience and swell-reading ability over raw aggression.
