Kita Right.

A south-facing right breaking over dead coral reef on Simeulue's southern coast, directly in front of the surf resort that shares its name. The wave picks up anything from the SE through SW swell window and works across a wide size range from 1m to well overhead. At its best, it produces steep, hollow walls with barrel sections along the inside, while flatter segments offer room for open-face turns. The takeoff zone is vertical but not overly critical, making it accessible to confident intermediates while still rewarding committed surfers on bigger days. Kita Right sits hidden from the main road, which keeps crowd pressure remarkably low. Only the resort's guests and those who know the spot tend to paddle out. A rivermouth channel cuts through the reef shelf right in front of the resort, creating a natural keyhole that makes entry and exit straightforward compared to many Simeulue reef setups. Avoid low tide entirely as the dead coral becomes too shallow to surf safely. The wave needs mid to high water to open up, and incoming tide sessions tend to be the cleanest. Any south wind shuts it down fast, so morning glass before the sea breeze fills in is the prime window.
