Mellow, rippable left reef wave near Macaronis with room to handle substantial swell.
Silabu Left is a short, rippable left-breaking coral-reef wave at the north end of Silabu/Sabeu Island. It is mellower than Macaronis and Greenbush but can become powerful and handle double-overhead surf. The wave bends around the reef and works through all tide stages, favouring medium southwest swell with some west in it. Southeast trade winds provide the best conditions, with the reef more sheltered from southerly wind than Macaronis. The main surf season runs from April through October.
