Rag’s Right is a right-hand coral-reef barrel on Pitojat Island in the South Mentawai. The wave is extremely fast, hollow and shallow, with a critical take-off, a tube that can outrun the surfer, and an exit near coral heads. It favors high tide with South to Southwest swell and light Northeast winds, and handles roughly head-high to double-overhead surf. The break is strictly for advanced surfers and is generally reached by charter boat during the April-October season.
