Chubbies is a short, fat, mellow right-hand reef wave wrapping around the north side of a small sandy island. It breaks over submerged reef, with rides generally 50 metres or less. The working range is 0.6-1.8 m, while conditions above 1.8 m become heavy. South to southwest swell bends around the island, losing size, speed and power. Westerly winds are offshore, and the wave works through all tide stages. Access is by boat, with Kandui Resort a short paddle away.
