Lacerations is a world-renowned right-hand reef break located off Nusa Lembongan, Bali, positioned across the channel north of Playgrounds. The wave is famous for its sharp, shallow coral reef and fast, hollow barrels, delivering some of the most challenging rides in Indonesia, especially at head high and above. It needs more swell than neighboring Shipwrecks to switch on and offers punchy, barreling rides best suited for advanced surfers. The spot works best at high tide to avoid the super shallow reef and is favored during solid south to southwest swells with the southeast trade winds. Access is typically by paddling through channels or arranging a boat ride with local drivers, as the break sits offshore from the main island. The area can get crowded when conditions are good, and hazards include sharp coral, sea urchins, strong currents, and busy boat traffic in the channels, so caution is essential.
