North Jetty (Hikkaduwa) sits alongside the harbour and offers an easygoing left that’s well suited to relaxed sessions. The wave breaks over shallow dead coral, so watch your footing on the way in and out. It’s a forgiving spot when the swell is small to moderate, with waves that roll through gently rather than hitting hard. On larger swells it holds its shape and throws out long lefts along the reef. There is a regular crowd here, so read the lineup before you paddle out.
