Thalpe Beach is a sand-and-reef break that’s soft and friendly, especially in small to medium swells. The waves here are easy to catch and gentle, making it a good place for beginners and intermediates to surf without too much pressure. The lineup stays relaxed, and the wide, open beach gives plenty of room for different peaks to pop up.
