Caleta De Caballo Derecha, known locally as Ghost Town, is a fast, hollow right that detonates over a shallow uneven-reef shelf inside a small bay on the north-west coast of Lanzarote. The wave wedges off a clearly defined take-off spot, throws a powerful barrel section, then runs short before fading toward the inside. Boils mark the shallowest reef on the inside, and the takeoff is critical enough that few surfers paddle out unless conditions are dialled. It needs a solid N to NW swell of around 1.2m or more to wrap into the bay, and southerly winds to groom the face clean. The right sits a few hundred metres east of the village proper, with its left-hand counterpart Caleta De Caballo Izquierda breaking on the opposite side of the same bay. Roadside parking is available along the coastal track and entry is by paddle-out from the rocky shoreline. Lineup numbers stay low because the wave punishes mistakes, but the regulars who surf it know each other and tolerate visitors who sit deep without dropping in.
