Ribadesella.

Ribadesella is an urban beachbreak spread across roughly 1.5 kilometres of Santa Marina Beach, split by character between its livelier eastern corner and a more relaxed western section. The eastern end is defined by the Sella rivermouth, which builds a shifting sandbar capable of producing a punchy, hollow left that drains back into the river flow and a right that steepens quickly off the peak then opens into long, driveable walls toward the centre of the beach. Both waves are steep on takeoff and faster than they look from the channel, with barrel sections appearing on the better swells. The western section runs smaller and slower, offering a friendlier environment for developing surfers working on their turns. The whole beach is tide-sensitive: the rivermouth sandbar works across all stages but the shape and speed of the waves shift noticeably through the cycle, with the outgoing tide amplifying the rip alongside the best sandbar formations at the east.
