Exposed Amorosa reef break with lefts, rights, and a shallow low-tide rock slab.
Amorosa is an exposed reef and rock-slab break in front of Praia da Amorosa Norte. The wave produces lefts and rights over a rocky bottom and receives its best surf from the west. ENE wind is offshore, while winter, especially December, generally provides the cleanest conditions. It works best from low through rising tide, when the reef requires careful positioning and inspection. This section is better suited to intermediate and advanced surfers than to beginners.

The break can become fairly popular and sometimes crowded, although weekdays may be quiet and weekends can have relatively few surfers.

Allow roughly three to four minutes to reach the peak from the main beach.
Look for west swell and ENE offshore wind for the cleanest conditions.
Avoid the break when the sea is heavily agitated.

Public parking and wooden dune walkways lead to the beach, followed by a three to four minute paddle to the peak beyond the rocks.
