Praia da Saúde is a sandy beach break producing both lefts and rights. The offshore sandbar peak, known as Pico da Saúde, can appear or disappear as sand shifts between seasons. Waves combine groundswell and windswell, with hollow, fun sections and occasional rides of 50-150 metres. Surf is reported from around 1-1.5 metres and can hold 3 metres or more. The break can work year-round, with winter generally offering the most consistent surf.
