A useful working range is 3-8 ft, with closeouts becoming more likely above 8 ft. Easterly to east-northeasterly winds are offshore, while west-southwest to northwest swells provide the most reliable exposure. Small, gentler days suit beginners, while increasing size and currents favour intermediate and advanced surfers.
