Dragão Vermelho is a sandy beach break enclosed by rock jetties to the north and south. The main wave is a good right-hander, with additional scattered peaks across the beach. It works from approximately 1-1.5 metres of swell upward and can hold 3 metres or more. North to northwest swell, southeast to east winds, and an incoming tide provide the best-supported conditions. The beach suits beginners through advanced surfers, with surf schools operating directly on site.
