Praia do Meco, also known as Praia do Moinho de Baixo, is an exposed west-facing Atlantic sand beach break. Peaks can break both left and right, with hollow, powerful and sometimes wedge-like sections. Rides are usually short, becoming longer on better days. West to northwest swells and easterly winds provide the best setup, while low tide is preferred. The break works year-round, although summer is often flat and winter, especially December, offers the most consistent clean surf.
