Praia do Telheiro is an exposed, powerful beachbreak over sand with sparse rocks. Waves are predominantly left-hand and hollow, although both left and right peaks can form. W-NW swell with E/SE wind offers the best conditions, while a rising tide is preferred and high tide can cause closeouts. The spot is best suited to advanced surfers and is most consistent from November through March. Access involves rural roads and an irregular footpath, with no beach facilities or lifeguards.
