Hollow, powerful left reef break over boulders on Portugal’s exposed Algarve coast.
Lage do Pescador is an exposed rocky reef producing a hollow, powerful left over boulders. Normal rides are approximately 50-150 metres, with longer waves reaching 150-300 metres on good days. It favours west swell and east offshore wind, with the cleanest and most consistent conditions in winter, especially December. The wave suits advanced surfers and can be extremely dangerous because of its hyper-shallow reef, rocks, and strong water movement. Access may require a boat or a very long paddle, while the nearby cliff descent is difficult.
