Mosca Point.

Mosca Point holds the title of Gran Canaria's longest left and earns its reputation on the few days each year when the conditions stack correctly. The break needs a solid NE to E swell, ideally in the 1 to 2 metre range, groomed by a westerly wind that peels back the surface and lets the wave stand up properly. When everything aligns, the point produces rides stretching 200 to 500 metres with a mix of open performance sections and genuine barrel sections, making it one of the most rewarding waves in the Canaries for intermediate surfers willing to wait out the inconsistency. The bottom is a boulder reef that becomes particularly exposed at low tide, where the wave is at its most defined but also its shallowest. The shape is steep and slopey rather than crumbly, generated by swell energy welling up around the point and delivering clean, medium-paced walls. Crowds gather fast when the swell arrives since the spot fires so rarely, and localism has been growing as its reputation spreads.
