Playa de Tres Piedras is a sand-bottom beachbreak near Chipiona in Andalucia, sitting more exposed than neighbour Playa de Regla a few kilometres north. That exposure is the defining feature: the beach consistently picks up more swell size and holds shape on smaller days when Regla goes flat. Shifting left and right peaks form across a wide window from due south to northwest, with SW the sweet spot for organised banks. The wave leans hollow and steep - vertical takeoffs and a shorebreak that builds into short punchy walls as the tide rises. Speed is medium, but the wellingup power gives more bite than a typical beginner beach. A NE offshore cleans up the faces and is common during morning terral winds through much of the year. Wave lengths are short at up to 50m. The small beach community draws a steady local crew and visitors from the wider Cadiz coast. The atmosphere stays relaxed but the spot is well-known and lineups fill on swell days.
