Playa de Regla.

Playa de Regla is a sandy beachbreak sitting south of the town of Chipiona on Andalucia's Atlantic coast, producing shifting left and right peaks across a wide sandy bay. The wave draws its best shape from a solid W or SW swell component - the standard S-to-NW window needs to carry a decent W bias to generate the steeper, more vertical sections this beach is capable of. On the right tide and swell combination, the banks throw up hollow, steep-faced walls with barrel sections that punch well above expectations for a learner-rated break. The bottom is well-covered sand that keeps the wave accessible, though a shallow inside shelf can produce a snappy shorebreak as the tide fills in. Performance surfing and cutback sections are on offer when the peaks align, with medium-paced rides running 50-100m. Access is straightforward - roadside parking along the beach front with no walk-in required. The break attracts a consistent crowd across the season, with summer bringing extra numbers as small windswells keep it functional even in flat spells. Those sessions draw a mixed pack from Chipiona and nearby Sanlucar. For more size and power, Las Tres Piedras sits 3km south along the same coast and is noted for squeezing extra height out of the same swell.
