Dermaga, also known as The Pier, is a renowned right-hand point break located at the far end of Limestone Bay on Sumbawa's west coast. It attracts surfers seeking powerful and challenging waves, but also offers a softer, long wave that can carry surfers all the way into the mangrove forest, though entering the mangroves is not advised due to sharp roots. The spot works best with solid south to southwest swells and light easterly winds, providing fast, punchy, and often hollow waves that offer barrels under the right conditions. Dermaga serves as a reliable backup when other breaks become too big. Access is straightforward from the nearby village, with the best sessions often occurring early in the morning. Crowds can be moderate, particularly during peak swell season.
