Jenny's Right Surf Spot Guide — Sumatra, Indonesia

Jenny’s Right is a mellow right-hand point break north of Krui, known as the first documented break in the area. It works well on all tides and a wide range of swell sizes, performing best with W to N winds and small to medium S swells. The wave peels for up to 100 meters, offering long, rideable walls ideal for cruising and carving, with occasional barrels and some cover-up sections when the swell lines up. The takeoff can shift, providing both long, rippable waves and more open sections. The reef is deeper and more forgiving than nearby slabs, making it approachable for intermediate surfers seeking quality rides. Access requires a tricky reef jump or a long paddle from the beach, and amenities nearby are limited. Offshore NW winds during the wet season make it a great option for consistent surf.
