Banana Island Right is a world-class, boat-access reef break located about 1.5km off the mainland north of Krui, Indonesia. It offers long lined-up walls or heavy barreling slabs depending on swell and tide, known for its fickle but exceptional waves when conditions align. The wave can open into long rides or drop fast over very shallow, sharp reef sections, especially on lower tides, with inside corners on higher tides producing the best barrels. Access is exclusively by boat, with drop-offs and pick-ups on a steep beach without a jetty, making it a secluded and generally uncrowded spot with a relaxed vibe. Surfers should exercise caution due to the remote location, shallow reef hazards, and lack of immediate medical assistance.
