North Fistral is the northern peak of Fistral Beach, a steep, fast beachbreak throwing mainly right-handers that hollow out on the drop at lower tides. The bank sits between the headland and the middle of the beach, holding shape from 1m up to 4.5m and handling a broader swell window than its southern neighbour, usually running a touch bigger than South Fistral. It fires hardest on clean W groundswell with a light SE offshore, and the peak occasionally gets genuinely epic when banks line up. Fistral is the most famous beach in Britain and the long-standing home of UK competitive surfing, hosting the annual WQS event and a rolling calendar of contests. Access is straightforward off the Headland Road one-way system, with a surf centre and full facilities sitting right on the sand, though the paid car park is notoriously undersized for the crowd it draws. When North Fistral maxes out, Cribbar breaks just up the headland and South Fistral offers sheltered lefts.

Follow signs to Fistral Beach off the Headland Road one-way system. Paid car park on the beach plus limited roadside options, and a surf centre with showers, surf school and surf shop sit directly above the sand. Parking capacity is notoriously tight for how busy the beach gets.
