Tikus is a left-hand reef break near the northern tip of Sipora Island in the Central Mentawai region, Indonesia. It offers multiple mellow sections that cater to surfers of all levels, from beginners and families to advanced riders. On smaller swells, the wave provides safe and enjoyable rides, while larger swells bring faster, more challenging waves with barrels and good drops. The reef is sharp and shallow, posing hazards especially at low tide when strong currents can also be present. The spot is accessible by boat, often via the Aloita Resort, and is surfable across all tides. Optimal conditions include light southerly or south-easterly winds, and the area maintains a remote tropical atmosphere with fewer crowds compared to other Mentawai classics.
