La Ventana.

La Ventana takes its name from a natural arch punched through the cliff at the east end of the beach, the window that gives the spot its identity. The wave is a sand-bottom beachbreak that lights up on smaller to moderate swells in the 0.6 to 1.8m range, producing short, playful peaks on the east side of the headland and a longer righthander at the west end that can connect and wall up when the banks line up. The wave shape is hollow and steep but the speed stays medium, so takeoffs are manageable and sections rarely close out in waist to head-high surf. La Ventana sits between the heavy point setup at Punta Mango and the cobblestone walls of Las Flores, and it serves as the high-tide fallback and the beginner-friendly option when those points get picky. Access is easiest by boat from El Cuco or the Las Flores jetty; the bay is usually empty even on weekends. Goes very shallow at low tide, so wait for water.
