Ladeira.

Ladeira is a southwest-facing beachbreak on the rugged Galician coast of northwest Spain. The break picks up SW swells directly and catches large NW groundswells that wrap into the bay. Wave lengths run 50 to 100 meters over a sand bottom, producing a medium-speed wall with barrel sections. Takeoffs are vertical and demanding, placing this squarely in advanced territory. The spot works exclusively at low tide, with the outgoing phase producing the best shape. North Easterly winds are the ideal offshore, keeping the face clean and organized. Swell size range is 1 to 2 meters of wave face for most sessions, though it rewards surfers who can commit when the banks and swell align at the upper end. Consistency is moderate, so flat spells between proper swells are common, and crowds are accordingly rare. Free parking and camping are available on site. No hazards are recorded. The overall vibe is remote and unhurried, rewarding patience and good timing.
