Rio Siera.

Rio Siera, also called Furnas, is a long, southwest-facing sandy beachbreak in Galicia that ranks among the most consistent spots on this stretch of the Costa da Morte. The beach is wide and exposed, funnelling SW through NW groundswells directly into its banks and generating shifting a-frame peaks that can sustain rides of 50 to 100 metres on good days. Waves are medium-paced with well-covered sections rather than dry-suck hollowest; the take-off tends toward vertical on the better sets, and barrel sections open up on tighter NW swells. The break handles all tides, though it sharpens around low when the sand banks are most exposed and the lips pitch more consistently. Best wind is a southeasterly offshore that smooths the faces and holds the lip open into the barrel. Optimal size sits between 0.9 and 2.4 metres, with capacity to handle larger NW groundswells that smaller nearby breaks cannot manage.
