Mehdya Beach is a broad, exposed sand-bottom beach break influenced by the south jetty at the Sebou River mouth. The named Moone or Moone Bay wave is a right that runs beside the jetty and is best suited to intermediate surfers. It works most reliably around mid tide, with W-N swell, especially Northwest, and Southeast offshore wind. Autumn through spring brings the most consistent Atlantic swell, while summer brings heavier beach use. Beginners should limit sessions to small, supervised beach conditions because jetty and river-mouth currents can become serious.
