Bouznika.

Bouznika is a right-hand point break on the Atlantic coast between Casablanca and Rabat, breaking over a live coral shelf known locally as la Crique. The wave runs medium-paced and slopes more than it pits, with welling-up power on the better sections rather than barrels, inside a 0-50m wall. It only switches on at low tide and needs a solid W to N groundswell to wrap in, which is why it stays sheltered while neighbouring beachbreaks close out. The town is a former fishing village now ringed by holiday developments, with the point sitting just below the seafront. A separate beachbreak alongside la Crique handles smaller, softer days for less confident surfers. The take-off zone fronts a pitted shelf with exposed rocks and urchin patches, so most regulars wear booties and stay off the inside boil. North-easterly offshores groom the faces, and the bluff above the break provides real wind shelter when the rest of the coast is blown out.
