Nangadoro is a renowned reef break on Sumbawa’s southwest coast, attracting advanced surfers seeking challenging waves. The spot features a spinning left and two right-hand reef breaks, offering long, fast, and sometimes hollow rights that break over a sharp, uneven reef bottom. Known for its high consistency, Nangadoro picks up more swell than nearby locations and works well on all tides, producing waves in the 2-8ft range. The wave can deliver powerful barrels during solid swells, but it becomes shallow at lower tides. Access is relatively remote, typically by motorbike, with no parking or facilities available, ensuring less crowding compared to more famous Indonesian breaks. Wave quality is best with a solid south or southwest swell and light easterly winds. Due to the sharp reef and currents, Nangadoro is best suited for experienced surfers. There are no pollution or hazard concerns aside from the natural reef and currents.
