T-Land at Nemberala Beach, near the village of Nemberala on Rote Island, is a consistent left-hand reef break known for being one of Indonesia’s longest left-hand waves, with rides reaching up to 400 meters. The wave is divided into four sections — The Point/Peak, Pyramid/Temples, Mountains, and Beginners/Bananaland — that can link for extended rides. Breaking over a flat coral reef about 500 meters offshore, T-Land offers long, steep walls and occasional barrels, making it ideal for intermediate and advanced surfers. Low tide peels nicely for intermediates, while high tide transforms head-high swells into speed walls. Bigger southwest swells deliver double to triple-overhead barrels and heavy sections. Multiple peaks help spread crowds, though hazards include sharp coral, strong currents—especially at the low-tide Bombie peak that can drag surfers inside—and occasional marine life such as sea urchins and jellyfish. Access is typically by boat, and the remote, tranquil area is supported by several surf resorts and camps providing accommodations.
