Peanuts is a lesser-known reef break on Timor's southern coast, offering fun, mellow waves that suit intermediate surfers. The spot works best with a south-southwest swell and light offshore winds from the northeast, though it is more sensitive to wind conditions than nearby breaks. Unlike T-Land, Peanuts provides more intense barrels over a shallower reef, with rides that are generally shorter but still superb when conditions align. The wave works on all tides, but caution is needed due to the shallow reef, especially at low tide. Access involves a 30-minute bike ride from the nearby village, making it relatively straightforward to reach. Peanuts is best surfed from April to October when consistent swells arrive, and it typically experiences minimal crowds.
