Playa del Dedo is an urban sand-bottom beachbreak sitting just east of Málaga, near the port of El Candado. Known locally as El Tintero after the famous fish restaurant fronting the beach, the spot produces shifting left and right peaks over a sandy bed that tends toward mellow, medium-paced walls rather than hollow barrels. Wave shape data shows steep faces with a well-covered feel, and the medium speed gives riders time to generate flow through turns.
