Cabopino sits in a sheltered pocket between Puerto Cabopino marina and a small pier on the outskirts of Marbella. A mixed sand-and-rock bottom produces short A-frame peaks with lefts and rights that suit all levels when swell cooperates. The spot is structurally swell-starved: meaningful surf requires SE, S or SW fetch of at least 0.6m, arriving most reliably from October through March when a northwest offshore cleans up the surface. On those winter sessions the break can push 1 to 1.5m with punchy walls and rides under 50m. Submerged rocks demand awareness at low tide, making rising or high the safer entry for beginners. The Dunas de Artola natural reserve frames the backdrop with pine-covered dunes, and chiringuitos line the beach year-round. Crowd levels stay low outside summer weekends, when beach activity increases around the marina.
