Fuengirola.

Fuengirola is a sand-bottom beachbreak along Playa de Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol, a south-facing Mediterranean shore east of Marbella. Shifting peaks produce short lefts and rights over sand, with crumbly walls that rarely extend past 50 meters and lean toward the forgiving end of the spectrum. The break needs a solid E, SE or S push to come alive - Mediterranean swells are short-period and wind-driven, so the surfable window is narrower than on Atlantic coasts. Any size typically arrives November through May; summer runs flat. West to northwest winds clean up the faces. All levels can surf here: beginners have organised surf school setups on the beach, while intermediate surfers work the shifting peaks. Playa de los Boliches and Playa de Torreblanca offer nearby alternatives when the main stretch is full. Rip currents and submerged rocks are the main hazards, particularly at lower tides.
