Cruz Roja sits on the southwest tip of Fuerteventura, a long stretch of sand that needs a solid NW swell to come alive for surfers. The beach orientation means only rights peel here, running 50-100m across a sandy bottom in the 0.9-2.4m range when conditions align. Waves are well-covered and slopey with a welling-up quality, producing predictable walls that hold shape through the section - ideal for working on rail turns and cutbacks without the pressure of a critical takeoff. Because the spot faces primarily northwest and the Jandia peninsula blocks other angles, it is genuinely infrequent - waiting weeks or months between productive swells is normal. The trade-off for rarity is quality: when it delivers, the walls are consistent and unhurried. Access is straightforward from the main road above Morro del Jable, with roadside parking and a short walk to the shore. The catch is the afternoon seabreezes that barrel in from the northeast, transforming the beach into one of Europe's premier windsurfing arenas.
