Haouzia.

Haouzia is a long stretch of sand beachbreak running south from the Oum Er-Rbia river mouth at Azemmour, on Morocco's central Atlantic coast roughly halfway between Casablanca and El Jadida. The wave is a well-covered, slopey peak with easy takeoffs over a clean sand bottom, typically holding shape in the 0.3 to 1.8 metre range and offering 50 to 100 metre rides on a good bank. It is fully exposed to the northerly fetch that dominates this coastline, which keeps it consistent through autumn and winter but also means it sits in the wind more often than not. A south-easterly offshore is the magic ingredient, grooming the open beach into clean walls fit for early intermediates and learners working on turns. The stretch is wide, lightly trafficked, and the immediate hinterland was earmarked for the Mazagan resort development in 2007, which today sits a short drive away. Avoid the rivermouth section at the north end where estuary runoff turns the water messy.
