The wave is highly consistent, working at all tides and best with SW to W swells and NW to N winds, especially during the wet season. Access is straightforward via a paddle out through a deep channel, and the spot is popular among surf resorts and charter boats. While generally safe, surfers should be cautious of the reef at lower tides. Crowds are manageable, and early morning sessions are recommended during the dry season when winds are lighter.
