Log Cabins is a powerful right-hand reef break just north of Pipeline that turns on during winter swells. The wave breaks over shallow, uneven lava reef and shifts across multiple takeoff points, producing fast walls and heavy sections that get more unpredictable with size. Smaller days can offer makeable faces for confident surfers, while rising swells expose more hazards and closeout risks. Advanced surfers only when waves are overhead. Crowds are common, especially when Pipeline is maxed or inconsistent. Access is straightforward from the beach along Kamehameha Highway.
