Aligator Rock is a lava and coral reef break beside a prominent rock on Oahu’s North Shore. It is primarily a right-hand wave, with an occasional short left that loses shape in the channel. The wave can be high-performance and hollow, with rides reaching approximately 100 metres. It favors north to northwest swell, southeast winds, and mid tide. This nearshore break is distinct from the separate Outside Alligator’s outer reef.
