Size ranges from 2 to 2.4m, with the wave handling moderate surf well. Access requires a walk over private farmland - look for the honesty box on the fence. Despite the difficult access, the spot draws crowds, reflecting the scarcity of quality beachbreak in the Bay of Islands area. More pristine, isolated breaks exist to the north for those willing to explore further. Rip currents and sharks are the primary hazards.
