It is an exposed reef that receives more swell than the sheltered bay nearby, producing fast, compact waves with a steeper takeoff and shorter wall, occasionally offering barrels on the right tide. Access is typically by boat from Batukaras village, as the spot is remote and undeveloped, with all amenities located in the nearby village. The break attracts both local and traveling surfers seeking challenging conditions.
