Sidi Rbat is a quiet rivermouth beachbreak set inside the Souss-Massa National Park, just south of Agadir on Morocco's central Atlantic coast. The wave breaks over a sand bottom next to the Oued Massa river mouth, throwing up well-covered a-frame peaks with steep takeoffs and short walls in the 0-50m range. Small to medium SW through N swells fill in the bank and the easterly land breeze grooms the faces in the early hours, but the wind typically swings onshore and blows the spot out by midday. The setting matters as much as the wave: Souss-Massa is a major bird sanctuary and the dunes here see more flamingos than surfers. Access is along a sandy track that rewards a 4-wheel drive, which keeps numbers down even when nearby Taghazout is rammed. With no facilities and limited swell exposure compared to the points to the north, it stays a sleepy backup for travelling surfers chasing space and clean morning peaks.
