Punta de la Mina, also known as Mina Rosita, is a powerful right-hand wave breaking over flat rock. It suits experienced surfers and requires northeast to southeast swell to work. West winds are considered offshore, while September through November is the preferred season. The tide is generally not decisive, but low tide should be avoided because of the rocky bottom. Access involves a rough approach from the road or a fishing boat from Tibouda.
