Lalla Fatna.

Lalla Fatna is a sand-bottomed beach break tucked into a cliff-backed bay on the Atlantic coast between Oualidia and Safi, roughly nine kilometres north of Safi town. Left and right peaks form over shifting sandbanks on most decent swells, running medium-paced with a slopey power profile rather than throwing pits. Wave faces tend to be well covered and forgiving, which keeps the break workable for confident intermediates across the full tide cycle. The bay handles a wide arc of swell from SW through N when a south-easterly offshore grooms the faces clean. Many of the spots along this stretch of the Safi coast hide as reefs below the cliffs and are hard to spot from the road, but Lalla Fatna is relatively well signposted and pulls in regular visitors as the easiest break to access in the area. Crowds stay light most of the time, though rip currents run hard inside the bay and warrant respect on bigger days.
