Bombies is a cluster of outer bommie reef peaks rather than one uniform wave. The primary wave is a right-hander, although some peaks produce shoulderless closeouts while others offer shaped walls. It handles roughly waist-high to triple-overhead surf and suits advanced shortboard surfers prepared for a demanding paddle. The break favours South to Southwest swell, Northeast winds, and mid tide from March through November. It lies in a remote section of Ujung Kulon National Park with no nearby facilities or medical services.
