Tanjung Lesung is a reef break located on the western tip of Java, Indonesia, in Banten. The spot offers moderate, consistent waves under all tides, typically less than 50 meters in length, and works best on a south or southwest swell with light northeast winds. It is generally less crowded than other popular Java spots, making it perfect for those seeking solitude. Hazards include shallow reef and occasional strong currents, so caution is advised at low tide. The area boasts a 15-kilometer stretch of white sand coastline, clear waters, and a relaxed atmosphere, complemented by local warungs and accommodations nearby. Visitors can also enjoy snorkeling, diving, fishing, and cultural activities. The spot is accessible by a three to four-hour drive from Jakarta, with ongoing infrastructure improvements aiming to reduce travel time.
